First Time Skydiving Bali No Experience Required Morning Jump

Stepping out of my comfort zone has always been a goal, and what better way to do it than skydiving over Bali? This was my first time skydiving, and honestly, the thought of it was both exhilarating and terrifying. Finding a place that catered to someone with absolutely no experience was key. Luckily, Bali delivers!

My First Time Skydiving Bali: No Experience Required

I booked my jump with TheSkydiveBali, who operate in Buleleng, North Bali. Their drop zone is truly prime, offering incredible ocean views even before you’re airborne. The entire package, including my tandem instructor, a thorough safety briefing, and a photo/video package to capture every moment, started at USD 1,200. It’s an investment, but for a once-in-a-lifetime experience, it felt worth it. I made sure to schedule a morning jump, as I’d read that these offer the best weather conditions and most pristine views. This also aligns perfectly with the dry season, which runs from April to October, providing those clearer skies and calmer winds you want for a smooth jump.

The journey to Buleleng was part of the adventure itself. Coming from Seminyak, it took us about 2.5 to 3 hours, but if you’re staying in Ubud, it’s closer to 1.5 hours. It’s a scenic drive, so enjoy the landscape! The Skydive Bali also uses Pantai Kelanting on Bali’s west coast as an exclusive jump location. This spot boasts stunning black sand beaches and is where you’ll find the only operator with fully licensed tandem instructors, which definitely eased my first-timer nerves.

The Jump Itself: Morning Glory

After the safety briefing and getting geared up, the moment arrived. My weight, thankfully, was under the 100 kg (220 lbs) maximum limit. The plane climbed, and the views of Bali from above were already breathtaking. Then came the leap. The actual freefall lasted a mind-blowing 60 seconds. It felt both eternal and incredibly fast, a pure rush of adrenaline and sensory overload. Following that exhilarating minute, the parachute deployed, and we began a much calmer 4 to 5-minute descent. This part was almost meditative, allowing me to truly soak in the panoramic ocean and island views. It was everything I hoped for and more – a truly unforgettable first time skydiving Bali experience.

For arrangements, a specialist offering Komodo charter can coordinate this end to end.
