The People Who Make the Jump Possible

Tandem skydiving is the most expertise-dependent adventure activity in the world. The 60 seconds of freefall and 4-minute canopy descent that you experience are the visible tip of an operational iceberg: aircraft maintenance, weather analysis, airspace coordination, equipment packing, AAD calibration, and three layers of safety redundancy. Sky Dive Bali is staffed by people who have spent careers making that iceberg invisible to passengers — so you can focus on the view.

Captain Aditya Wijaya
Chief Tandem Instructor & Operations Lead

Captain Aditya Wijaya

Chief Tandem Instructor & Operations Lead

Aditya started skydiving in 2014 as part of the Indonesian Air Force sport aviation team, completing his first 1,000 jumps under TNI-AU instruction before pursuing USPA certification at Skydive Spaceland Texas in 2017. He returned to Indonesia to help build the country's commercial tandem operations from the ground up. Today he leads the Sky Dive Bali instructor team and personally oversees every passenger's first jump briefing.

A tandem skydive is not an extreme sport — it's a transfer of trust. My job is to earn that trust in 30 minutes of pre-jump briefing, then deliver on it for 60 seconds at terminal velocity. The view is just the bonus.

Credentials

  • USPA Master Tandem Instructor (4,500+ jumps)
  • FASI Tandem Examiner & AFF Instructor
  • Ex-TNI Air Force Sport Aviation team
  • 12+ years skydiving across SE Asia & Australia
  • Specializations: Tandem instruction, freefall photography, AFF Levels 1–7

Captain Maria Soeharto
Chief Pilot & Aircraft Operations

Captain Maria Soeharto

Chief Pilot & Aircraft Operations

Maria flew commercial transport for nine years at Garuda Indonesia before transitioning to specialized sport aviation in 2023. She holds Cessna 208 Caravan and PAC P-750 XSTOL type ratings — both purpose-built jump aircraft — and has logged 800+ hours specifically on jump operations across Australia, Thailand, and Indonesia. Maria leads our aircraft operations, including pre-flight inspection protocols, weight-and-balance computations for every load, and AirNav Indonesia coordination on every flight.

I will not climb to altitude on a flight where I cannot answer every question about every variable. If the answer is uncertain, the answer is no.

Credentials

  • ATPL holder (Airline Transport Pilot License)
  • 12,000+ flight hours, 800+ on jump operations
  • Ex-Garuda Indonesia Boeing 737NG First Officer
  • Cessna 208 Caravan & PAC P-750 XSTOL type-rated
  • Indonesian DGCA Class 1 medical, Australian CASA equivalent

Hadi Pratama
Chief Safety Officer & Senior Rigger

Hadi Pratama

Chief Safety Officer & Senior Rigger

Hadi has packed reserve parachutes for the Indonesian sport aviation community since 2016. As an FAA Senior Rigger, he's qualified to inspect, repair, and repack reserve canopies under the strict 180-day repack cycle that USPA-affiliated operators follow. He also holds Cypres-2 and Vigil-2 AAD certifications — the two leading Automatic Activation Devices that deploy reserves automatically if anything goes wrong with the main. Hadi runs every pre-flight equipment check and signs the daily safety logbook.

Skydiving safety is not the parachute opening — it's the 200 small decisions before takeoff that make the parachute opening inevitable.

Credentials

  • USPA Tandem Instructor + FAA Senior Reserve Rigger
  • 2,800+ skydives across 10+ countries
  • Cypres-2 AAD specialist, Vigil-2 certified rigger
  • FASI Safety & Training Advisor (national-level)
  • 10+ years equipment maintenance, all major canopy brands

Sari Lestari
Customer Experience & VIP Concierge Lead

Sari Lestari

Customer Experience & VIP Concierge Lead

Sari joined the Sky Dive Bali team after 6 years coordinating VIP itineraries at Bali Premium Trip and Four Seasons Resort Bali at Jimbaran Bay. She speaks four languages fluently and is the single point of contact for every VIP launch list member, every pre-arrival concern, and every cross-brand bundle pairing a skydive with a Komodo yacht charter, a Tabanan villa stay, or a Sumba expedition. If you've ever sent a WhatsApp to +62 811 3941 4563, you've messaged Sari or one of her two coordinators.

A first-time skydiver is nervous, jet-lagged, and three time zones from home. My job is to be the calm voice that handles every detail before they even ask.

Credentials

  • 8 years adventure tourism & luxury concierge
  • Multilingual: Bahasa Indonesia, English, Mandarin, German
  • Ex-Bali Premium Trip senior concierge
  • Cross-brand JHG coordinator (skydive + yacht + villa + transport)
  • Hospitality background: Four Seasons Bali alumna

Why Expertise Matters in Bali Skydiving

Bali airspace coordination is one of the most complex in Southeast Asia. Ngurah Rai International Airport handles 25 million passengers annually, with arrival and departure tracks crossing wide bands of southern Bali. Adding tandem skydive operations means coordinating airspace blocks with AirNav Indonesia, military deconfliction with TNI-AU, and FASI sport-aviation permits — a regulatory choreography that takes years to perfect. Our team holds the relationships and certifications that make this coordination possible. That is the real reason Sky Dive Bali exists where others have failed.
